Why/How should I contribute?

• Listing your organization in the International Trade Service Providers Database (free):

This database will be published on GlobalTrade.net in September 2010. It will be the leading online directory of service providers for international trade. It will include the service providers listed by local U.S. Commercial Service offices worldwide and listings from other major sources, including associations that are members of the Federation of International Trade Associations (FITA). All service providers for international trade such as freight forwarders, international marketing consultants, lawyers, accountants, customs brokers, trade finance companies, bankers, instructors, insurance providers and others now have the opportunity to be listed AT NO COST. The only qualification is that you must be a recognized service provider.
In order to join you just have to Create A Profile.



• Posting informative content to enhance your profile:

Post any informative content you may have that features your expertise and offers useful information. The more informative content you post content the more visible your profile will be, as your valuable and informative content will link directly to your profile. There is no cost for this service. For example if you are a marketing consultant specialized in Spain, posting a good PowerPoint presentation, or an article about "Setting up a distribution network in Spain" gives you the best chance to be selected when potential clients are searching for information on GlobalTrade.net.

• Gain visibility (free):

Posting content will provide you and your business with great online visibility, as your profile will be featured next to the content you have posted (free). Furthermore, your content will be visible on the result pages of three of our major partners (free): Kompass.com, Alibaba.com and Thomasnet.com. Together these websites have 30+ million visitors per month from the US, Asia and Europe, all of which are focused on international trade. Your content will also be highly visible on the top of Google search results related to your topic thanks to our SEO efforts (free). 



• Receive business opportunities:

Users will be able to contact you either directly through your profile page (free) and your content (free), or via the "Get Expert Help" dedicated frame to the right of the folder where you have posted your content (free in 2010).

1. Create a profile on GlobalTrade.net. feature your professional expertise and services.
2. Find your area of expertise on the Knowledge Resource by browsing through the folders by country, industry or business topic.
3. Post your content: you can either create new material or simply post existing content. It can be a text article, a PPT presentation, a white paper, tips, a newsflow, a webinars, a video or an event related to the subject of the folder.
