Taxes and Restrictions On Persons When Going Through Customs

Taxation On Persons
200 cigarettes, or 100 cigarillos (cigars of a maximum weight of 3 grams each), or 50 cigars, or 250 grams of smoking tobacco, or appropriate set of the above products; if over 16 years of age
Alcohol imports are free from customs duties, VAT and excise duties in the following quantities:
- 1 liter of alcohol and alcoholic beverages containing more than 22% by volume;
- 2 liters of alcohol and liquor containing 22% alcohol by volume;
- 4 liters of wine (non-sparkling) and 16 liters of beer.
50 grams of perfume or 0.25 liters of "eau de toilette".

How to Refund Consumption Tax
For visitors from outside the EU ; documents are normally prepared by the merchant from whom the goods have been purchased, and the refund is made directly by the merchant, rather than the customs service.
