School System

School Level
Education is obligatory. The school system is divided into three parts; first (from 6 to 12 years), the primary cycle (from 12 to 15 years) and secondary (from 15 to 18 years). Most of the Israelis complete more than 12 years of education, then they leave for the army (1 year for girls and 3 years for boys). Most of these youngsters resume their studies at the end of the army training.
International Schools
There are a good number of international schools in major cities like Anglican International School of Jerusalem, the Walworth Barbour American International School in Israel, Jerusalem American International School and Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI).
