Obligatory Vaccination and Other Recommendations
A certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is required for travellers coming from contaminated areas. To protect yourself against traveller’s diarrhoea, you are advised to avoid  seafood, meat, and fish which are under- or  poorly cooked,  raw  vegetables, unpeeled fruits and tap water.

Safety Conditions

Security conditions are generally good. However there is a renewed outbreak of delinquency in Beirut. Burglaries and car thefts are more and more frequent. It is thus important to look after your belongings, notably your passport (always have a copy).
It is advised to stay in tourist areas and to stay humble and respectful of local customs.
Terrorist Risk
Risks of terrorist attack are quite high in Lebanon due to the Syrian and Palestinian conflict.
Risk of Natural Disaster
Lebanon is situated in an area of seismic activity.
Dust and sandstorms happen frequently.
Traveling Women Conditions
It is preferable to avoid physical contact between men and women in public areas.
If possible, it is preferable for women not to travel alone.
