May designate a hotel, dormitory, guest house, B and B, inn... generally cheaper than a traditional hotel.
Sort of travelers' inn with a traditional side to it, often away from the center and with spacious rooms, prices higher than guesthouses and youth hostels.
Chalet, bungalow

A-frame chalet
Minute wooden, triangular shelter, sometimes on piles, located on tourist beaches and islands, prices vary according to comfort.
Mini holiday village, with bungalows, buffet restaurant, more expensive than the other types of accommodations.
Run by Sino-Malaysians, hotels are often cheap, the least expensive ones are often dilapidated and standards of  hygiene are questionable.

Prices are given per room, with service and government taxes included.
