More and more China manufacturers want a piece of the Android pie, offering models with features comparable to those of Apple and Samsung versions at a fraction of their price. While tablets in all sizes are available, 7-inch models are among the best-sellers.

Here is a selection of competitively priced 7-inch Android 4.0 tablets on Global Sources.

Android 4.0 tablet powered by dual-core Arm Cortex-A9
Running on a dual-core Arm Cortex-A9 1.6GHz processor, this Android 4.0 tablet from Yifang boasts a capacitive touchscreen with 800x480-pixel resolution. Android 4.1 device supports micro SD card up to 32GB

This tablet with a 16:9 TFT LCD capacitive touch panel from Shuoying incorporates an AllWinner A13 1.3GHz CPU. Its connectivity features include RJ-45 N/A Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and USB. It has a 4GB NAND flash and an external memory up to 32GB. A 0.3MP front camera is provided.

Ovtech's Android 4.1 Jelly bean tablet features an 800x489 capacitive multitouch screen and a dual camera. It runs on Rockchip 2926 Cortex-A9 1.5GHz CPU, and has 512MB DDR and 4GB NAND flash. The device comes with an HDMI output.

Grand's Android 4.1 tablet has 1GB DDR3 RAM and standard ROM flash capacity of 8GB. It runs on Amlogic AML8726-MX, Dual Cortex-A9 CPU. Connectivity features include Ethernet network, mini USB switch, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and USB.

The 194.3x120.5x10.2mm unit supports Flash 11 and HTML5, and has a 0.3MP camera, G sensor and headphone jack.

Dual-camera tablet runs on Cortex-A9 processor
This Android 4.0 tablet from China Electronics stores 4GB worth of data that can be expanded via a 32GB micro SD card. It displays photos and videos on a multitouch capacitive screen with 1,024x800 pixel resolution. The device also features 0.3MP/2MP front and rear cameras, and supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity.

Android 4.0.4 tablet with 360-degree G sensor
Shenzhen GBD's Android 4.0.4 device operates on a Boxchip A12 1.5GHz CPU with memory capacity of 512MB to 1GB. Its 5-point touch capacitive screen has an 800x480 pixel resolution. Wireless connectivity features include Bluetooth and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi.

The 181.5x121x10.1mm unit has a dual camera and 360-degree G sensor.

Tablet supports HDMI connectivity
This slim Android 4.1 unit from Kinwei incorporates a Rockchip3066 dual core chipset. It uses Mali-400 MP4 GPU to accelerate 3D graphics and, boasts a 4GB flash memory and supports Flash 11.1.

Features include 0.3MP front camera, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, HDMI connectivity. Built-in RAM is 1GB DDR3.
