The U.S. Commercial Service in Kyiv, Ukraine would like to inform interested U.S. engineering firms to an upcoming bidding opportunity for a feasibility study contract on a proposed Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal Project in Ukraine. The procurement will be funded by the Government of Ukraine (GOU)
We understand that by the end of February 2011, the GOU intends to announce an international tender to for a feasibility study contractor for their LNG Terminal project in one of three possible Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea: Port Yuzhnyi (Odessa oblast); Ochakov (Mykolayiv Oblast); or Feodosia (Crimea).
The GOU is looking for a top-notch global engineering company with strong LNG expertise. The winning bidder will be expected to subcontract with local companies/institutions as appropriate.
Tender documents will be available in Ukrainian and English languages. Bids will also be required to be submitted in both languages. All price quotations should be in Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH). The cost of tender documents is expected to be between UAH 300,000 and 600,000 (US$ 37,000 and US$ 75,000). Bidding terms: 30 days after official announcement. The feasibility study completion is expected to be in June 2011. Tendering for the contract is opened to firms and joint ventures from any country.
