Executive Summary: This report is an UNOFFICIAL translation of China's Ministry of Agriculture's (MOA) updated list of Quarantine Harmful Bio-organisms by the People’s Republic of China” as of June 20, 2011. The initial MOA Decree was published on May 29, 2007, and updated three times between 2009 and 2011 to add 4 species of quarantine harmful bio-organisms. BEGIN TRANSLATION Decree No.862 of Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China In an effort to prevent the risk and harmful bio-organisms from entering China, in accordance with the Law on Entry and Exit of Animal and Plant Quarantine of PRC, the Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine formulated the “List of Quarantine Harmful Bio-organisms by the People’s Republic of China”. The “List of Quarantine Risk Diseases, Pests, Weeds by the People’s Republic of China” is hereby annulled. The Decree takes effect on the day of publication.
