General Information: Wheat MY 2013/2014 (July/June) wheat area is forecast at 185,000 hectares (ha). Total production is forecast at about 950,000 MT. Under this scenario, Croatia would have around 400,000 MT of wheat for export. Corn MY 2013/2014 (October/September) corn area is forecast at 310,000 ha. Total production is expected to be reach close to 2 million MT, creating a surplus of about 250,000 MT for potential export. Barley MY 2013/2014 (July/June) barley area is forecast at 50,000 ha or about the same as last year. Production is forecast at 195,000 MT, which will not meet domestic demand; thus imports will likely reach 25,000 MT.
