Despite the exemptions listed in the notifications for unprocessed poultry meat and meat products, live pigs and birds, unprocessed semen of domestic and wild birds including poultry, the imports of these products remain restricted from entry due to other import regulations. General Information: Introduction: The Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying, and Fisheries (DADF), issued a Gazette notification on July 19, 2011, extending its ongoing prohibition on imports of specified live animals and livestock products from all countries reporting Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza (LPAI), for an unspecified period. This extension is effective with an immediate effect from the date of publication of this notification (July 19, 2011). Despite the exemptions listed in the notifications for unprocessed poultry meat and meat products, live pigs and birds, unprocessed semen of domestic and wild birds including poultry, the imports of these products remain restricted from entry due to other import regulations.
