The Indonesian Ministry of Finance (MOF) issued a decree on December 14 that officially increases import duties for designated grain & feed and oilseed products from zero to five percent.

Policy and Programs: On December 14, 2011, the Indonesian Ministry of Finance issued Decree No. 213/PMK.011/2011 that increases import duties for designated grain & feed and oilseed products to five percent from the previous rate of zero. The previous zero tariff rates had been enforced since January 2011. The Ministry of Finance has adopted new classification of goods into HS 2012 that replaces HS 2007. This results in increasing the number of tariff codes from 8,754 to 10,025. Consequently, Decree No. 213/PMK.011/2011 assigns different HS Codes for designated commodities. The new import duty will take effect on January 1, 2012. If no further action is taken, the import duties of the following commodities will be at the new rate stated in the table below: N Old Decree New Decree o.
