On November 14, 2012, the Eurasian Economic Commission published an increase to the 2012 tariff rate quotas (TRQs) for imports of meat and poultry into Russia.

These increases are being applied to the 2012 TRQs released in January 2012, and must be utilized by December 31, 2012. The announcement indicates the decision shall enter into force 30 days after the date of the publication of the announcement (i.e., December 14, 2012). Russia is yet to announce the distribution of the additional 2012 meat and poultry TRQ volumes among the exporting countries and Russian importers. To amend the List of Goods, which are Subject to Tariff Rate Quotas from 1 January 2012, and the Volumes of Tariff Rate Quotas for Imports of these Goods into the Member States of the Customs Union, approved by Decision of the Customs Union Commission of November 18, 2011, No. 865 "On the List Goods which are Subject to Tariff Rate Quotas from January 1, 2012, and the Volumes of Tariff Rate Quotas for Imports of these Goods into the Member States of the Customs Union," according to the annex. 2. To approve the List of Goods, which are Subject toAdditional Tariff Rate Quotas through December 31, 2012, and the Volume of Additional Tariff Rate Quota for the Import of these Goods into the Member States of the Customs Union (attached). 3. To establish that the additional tariff rate quotas specified in the List approved by this Decision (hereinafter - the additional tariff rate quotas), shall apply to goods imported into the single customs territory of the Customs Union for release into the Customs Union for domestic consumption, with the exception of products originating in and imported from the CIS. 4. Request the Russian Federation: To distribute the volume of additional tariff rate quotas among participants of foreign trade activities in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation; To instruct the authorized executive bodies to issue import licenses for the goods, which are subject to the additional tariff rate quotas. 5.
