On November 14, 2012, the Eurasian Economic Commission published an increase to the 2012 tariff rate quotas (TRQs) for imports of meat and poultry into Russia.

These increases are being applied to the 2012 TRQs released in January 2012, and must be utilized by December 31, 2012. The announcement indicates the decision shall enter into force 30 days after the date of the publication of the announcement (i.e., December 14, 2012). On December 17, 2012, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development announced the distribution of the additional 2012 meat and poultry TRQ volumes among Russian importers.
