Ukraine has reduced the export of metallurgical products by 5.1%

   During January-September 2012 Ukraine reduced exports of steel products on the same period in 2011 by 5.1% - to 19.5 million tons

   During January-September 2012 Ukraine reduced exports of steel products on the same period in 2011 by 5.1% - to 19.5 million tons.

   In particular, exports of base alloys totaled 533.6 thousand tons, which is 22.2% less than in the first 9 months of 2011.

   Export slabs fell by almost 35% - to 2.815 million tons of hot-rolled flat products - by 12.6% - to 4.39 million tons.

   Exports of scrap decreased by 37.1% - to 366.3 thousand tons.

   The volume of exports of square billets for 9 months of this year increased by 35.5% - to nearly 4.8 million tons, fixtures - by 8.7% - to a 1.83 million tons, wire - 1.7% - to 1.25 million tons.

   In addition, from January to September 2012 exports of Ukrainian pipes decreased by 1.7% versus the same period last year - 1.218 million tonnes.

   During the reporting period, Ukraine exported steel to 11.925 million dollars, which is 13.7% less than in the first 9 months of 2011.

   Exports pipes were almost 1.476 billion dollars - less than 3.5%.
